The First UMC DeLand Disaster Response Team is a group with the desire and training to assist individuals and families recover after a disaster. The team is supported by a utility trailer stocked with chain saws, generators, cleaning supplies, tarps, power tools and a variety of hardware – all needed to get people back on their feet after a devastating event. During serious or complex events, the trailer is also equipped with a computer, solar power, walkie-talkies and a high power 2-way radio.


If you have one of the following, join us: A desire to help others, Enjoy fixing things, Experience with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, Disaster planning, or FCC Amateur Radio/GMRS license.
